As I toss around ideas to share with you, there are so many, but one fundamental element of the very best design for you always comes to the forefront. Keep your style authentic. Don’t borrow your style from a picture of a room you love, or a room you’ve been in. Yes, be inspired, but be mostly aware of your soul. Imagine how lovely it would be to get a basket and a pair of garden shears and walk through the most beautiful garden and select all of the stems that tantalize your soul. Then bring your basket inside and ‘gently’ work them into an arrangement, custom made just for you. Herein lies the challenging part, how to arrange the flowers to create the perfect look. That’s when you find your designer. Let the designer see what you love first. It doesn’t need to be within a realm of any sort, not style, not color, not scale. Even if your style is all white and minimalist, the pieces you love can be showcased beautifully.
